DIGITAL PARENTING

A parenting seminar about smart phones, social media and safety-ism

It's tough being a parent today. It’s even harder being a kid.

Digital Parenting is a space to talk about raising tweens (pre-teens) in an age of smart-phones, social media and safety-ism.

Award-winning author, Daniel Sih, will be discussing the wonders and challenges of the digital age, giving an opportunity for parents to raise questions and share their stories.

This free seminar is for any parent who feels concerned about the impacts of digital overuse on their children’s lives (with a focus on primary school age issues).

Daniel will tackle when and how to get your child their first smart phone, the impact of social media on mental health, the use of digital contracts, internet filtering and more.

The aim is to provide positive and practical solutions to help recalibrate the digital habits of children and their families, based on research.
